Psybient Music
If you don't know what it is, you should find out, if you'd like a little break from mainstream music and have an itch for something different. Short for Psychedelic Ambient. Some of it is great, some not-so-great, but definitely a genre of music that will only get better and better and more expansive into the future. It's easy to imagine more and more of it being used in the future in combination with video art technology in the creation of trip or dreamlike experiences. Generally, electronics are used to help create an atmospheric background, with other things added along the way to create various musical sensations. The words, if any, are generally few and far between and may not be audible. Good to play in the background or foreground and can enhance dreams if played while sleeping. A diverse introduction for those that never listened to Psybient music before, may be:
Biosphere: Substrata (quiet+spacey, but very nice)
CBL: WorldOfSleepers (little louder and stronger)
(CBL = Carbon ........ Based ........ Lifeforms)
Ott: Blumenkraft (*very* cool, funky, some reggae beats)
Shpongle: IneffableMysteries (loudest, may be more difficult
to appreciate at first, gets better the more you listen,
complex and diverse, some eastern flavors mixed in)
1. All composite phenomena are impermament.
2. All contaminated things & events are unsatisfactory.
3. All phenomena are empty and selfless.
